It is so pleasing to see the roses have reflowered after their severe pruning by the deer. Commenting on this to Mr HG he remarked, "The irises planted along the wall are doing well too. By the way, there are a couple of haunches of venison in the freezer."
Gulp.

Marvellous. Marinade them for a couple of days in some chewy red. Yum :-)
Pig loves to chase deer. He brings them round for Elby to shoot, but Elby has no gun or spear so Pig's efforts come to nothing.
It's not just haunches, L. There are variously-sized birds (though the freezer bags have mercifully misted over).
Can't keep a good hunting dog down, he probably doesn't mnd; everything is in the chase.
